Students Place at Georgia Educational Technology Fair

Students from Thomas County Middle School and Thomas County Central High School along with Ms. Danna Cooper and Ms. Selina Bell traveled to Macon to compete at the state level in the Georgia Educational Technology Fair last Saturday.  All of these students placed first in the regional level fair in January to earn their spot in the state level competition.  There are numerous technology categories in which students may compete including, but not limited to, 3D Modeling, Web 2.0 Applications, Digital Photography, Digital Video Production, and Programming. 

Students who attended the Georgia Educational Technology Fair include Abby Allensworth, Morgan Ward, Douglas Hopkins, Devon Bryan, Austin Luna, Amber Allen, Amber Forrester, Hayes Nelson, Logan Sanders, Vance Stephens, and Tessa McCorkle.  Congratulations to the following students who placed in the top three of their category and division at the state level!

  • Abby Allensworth, 6th Grade - 3rd Place in Technology Literacy - Division 2
  • Hayes Nelson, 11th Grade - 2nd Place in Technology Literacy - Division 5
  • Logan Sanders & Vance Stephens, 12th Grade Team - 3rd Place in 3D Modeling - Division 5
  • Tessa McCorkle, 12th Grade - 2nd Place in Web 2.0 Internet Applications - Division 5
