"All A" students rewarded

Academically thriving Thomas County Central High School students were rewarded for their hard work with “All A Lunch.”

The lunch, held Aug. 14, gave students who achieved a 90 or above in all academic subjects in the last nine weeks of the 2014-2015 school year the opportunity to eat off campus.

Students were given a choice of restaurants: Longhorn, IHOP, Whataburger, El Paso, or Zaxby’s. After students ate, they spent time at Cherokee Lake until it was time to return to school.

“’All A Lunch’ is, and always will be, the best part about school,” senior participant Zack Johnson said.

Students enjoyed the lunch and feel like their hard work throughout the year paid off.

“All the dedication and hard work I did to achieve straight A’s was definitely worth it,” participant Megan Hornsby said.
