Graduation parking and ceremony information

To accommodate large graduation crowds, visitors are normally allowed to park on the unpaved fields behind the school. Due to large amounts of rainfall that we’ve experienced, it is likely that vehicles that park on unpaved areas may bog down. THerefore, we are advising the use of paved parking areas only.

We also urge those attending graduation to carpool if possible. Graduating seniors are encouraged to park in the student parking lot close to the gym.

We will make parking available at the Thomas County bus garage and at Thomas County Middle School and Hand-In-Hand Primary School. Shuttle bus transportation will be provided to and from those parking areas to the gym beginning at 7:30 a.m. Return shuttle service will be provided.

In the event of rain, graduates may be dropped off under the canopy at the front of the school near the media center. Visitors who are driving will be able to drop off passengers under the bus canopy at the main entrance before parking.

Also, please remember that, in accordance with Georgia Legal Code Title 16/Chapter 11/Article 2/16-11-34, regarding the disruption of a lawful meeting, gathering, or procession, Thomas County Central High School will not tolerate anyone knowingly committing any act that disrupts our state-funded graduation ceremony. Failure to comply with this law by anyone in attendance will result in immediate removal from the premises by law enforcement officials, containment, and misdemeanor charges.

Graduation will be streamed online at mycns.tv and on local CNS Channel 6. A closed circuit broadcast of graduation will also be available in rooms on campus on a first come, first served basis.
