Red Ribbon Week Reminds Students to Say No to Drugs

On Monday, students dressed in camouflage as a reminder to join the fight against drugs.  Tuesday was twin day because friends don’t let friends do drugs.  Wednesday was county-wide red day in honor of Red Ribbon Week.  On Thursday, students dressed from the 60’s, 70’s, or 80’s for Throwback Thursday in order to remind students to not throw their lives away with drugs.  Friday, students were asked to “team up” against drugs by dressing in clothes to support their favorite team.  Students attended an assembly program on Thursday during which an addiction counselor,  Seth Higginbotham, told students about the consequences of being addicted to drugs.  Red Ribbon Week activities were coordinated by school counselors Patricia Barron and Kevin Keve.
