Sixth-graders follow steps of the scientific method

TCMS MERIT

Students in Mrs. Sturrup's sixth grade science class recently completed experiments to begin their scientific method lessons. Students had to determine if an orange could pop a balloon without touching it directly! Small groups stated their claims, found evidence to support their claim, and used reasoning to prove their claim.

Pictured below in the first image are Sam Stewart and Ty Palmer following the steps in the scientific method to conduct their experiment.

In the second image is Alison Miller and Rhi'Anna Mitchell completing the experiment to see if the orange would pop the balloon.
