Parent Night for 'How to Avoid MERIT Mania'

MERIT Mania

Thomas County Middle School MERIT parents gathered recently to learn "How to Avoid MERIT Mania", in order to become educated about the MERIT program and how to encourage and support their children as they learn to excel in a rigorous and accelerated learning environment. Parents were given information and attended break-out sessions, lead by MERIT teachers and geared toward parental involvement in the success of their child. "MERIT is a family commitment and our Thomas County MERIT parents are very supportive of this program," says Dana Studdard, MERIT Coordinator. There were over two hundred parents in attendance at this event.
