Summer Reading Challenge Ice Cream Celebration

Thomas County Reads

Twenty-seven students from Thomas County Middle School completed the requirements for the Summer Reading Challenge.  These students were treated to an ice cream party in the media center on Friday, August 24.  One student, Alyssa Bradshaw, won the drawing for $50.00 to spend at the first book fair of the year.  Mrs. Craven, media specialist, was very happy with the results of the Summer Reading Challenge for students.  She commented, "To have such a large number of students read and write about the Cutbooks they read over the summer is very encouraging.  This was not an easy task!  We are all so proud of these students."  School administrators congratulated these students on their efforts and encouraged them to keep reading.
