Students in Mrs. Sharpe's fifth-grade class went on an in-class virtual field trip using Thomas County Middle School's new VR headsets to explore the Great Barrier Reef, Borneo Rainforest, and get up close and personal with bacteria. Students were able to classify plants and animals encountered along the way and identify adaptations of each. Students also learned about different types of bacteria, how bacteria are transmitted, and how antibiotics are used to treat bacterial infections.
