 8th grade math for 1 year and 7th grade math for 7 years

What college did you attend?

Valdosta State University... 3 times! :)

My best days in the classroom are when...

the kids are engaged and excited about learning.

Who or what inspired you to become a teacher or work in education?

I love being around kids and making a difference.  I worked at a bank and enjoyed assisting my clients, but I decided I could do more good by teaching kids.  I was shocked by the number of my clients that could not balance their checkbooks or count money.  I wanted to help people get more out of life.

What profession other than your own would you most like to attempt?

I would love to be a customer service consultant, if there is such a job.  I get super annoyed with poor customer service!

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

I love spending time with my family and my friends.  I especially love trips to the beach!

What is one thing about you that would likely surprise your students?

 I was on danceline all four years of high school.  When I was a sophomore, I marched and danced in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day  Parade in New York City with the band!  It was SO much fun!
