On October 25, the Thomas County Middle School Cross-Country team participated in the Yellow Jacket Invitational at Greenwood Plantation. There were teams from North Florida and South Georgia competing for the top honors. The Yellow Jackets were led by Anna James who was the middle school girl’s overall winner with a time of 13:55. This was her 4^th top ten finish of the season. The middle school girls also finished 2^nd overall against some good competition. The girls’ team consisted of Kasey Melton, Mary Alyssa Willis, Emma Goff, and Nalene Martinez. This was the first year the middle school competed as a team. In the past, there were individual runners from TCMS that competed but not as a complete team. Overall, for the boys and girls, it was a great season.
