Recently the students in Mrs. Thompson’s and Mr. Woodfin’s classes completed a STEM lesson. STEM lessons incorporate Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics concepts into a single lesson to enrich student learning and skills development. The students collected and analyzed data after engineering ways to make accurate measurements of a moving golf ball. The analysis included graphing and development of a mathematical model to help explain what was happening with the ball as it dropped from different heights.
