Eight Grade Team Wins Championship, Seventh Grade Places Second
Thomas County Middle School's 8th grade football team won the region championship for the fourth year in a row.  They defeated Bainbridge with a score of 34-14.  This group of football players has gone undefeated in their middle school career going 6-0-1 in 7th grade and 7-0 this year.  Kelias Williams scored three touchdowns in the championship game and Tyrice Cloud added another touchdown.  Williams also threw a touchdown pass to Quintavious Cooksey.  Earnest McCormick and Keilias Williams each scored two point conversions.  Defensive standouts included Demontae Ponder, Reid Ansley, Alphonso Spencer, Dominique Arrington, Derrick Brock, and Marquis Brooks. 

The 7th grade team came up short in their championship game with a loss to Bainbridge.  The team finished second in the middle school region with a record of 3-2-1.
