Dr. Verna Jackson - Wiggins 

Dear Bishop Hall Students and Families,

It is with great excitement that I write this letter of introduction to you as the new Principal of Bishop Hall Charter School for the 2021-2022 school year.  I am honored to have the opportunity to lead a school with such persevering students, an extremely dedicated staff, and a supportive school community.  I feel very fortunate to be part of this school in a different role to support our students and families.  I have served as Bishop Hall’s Assistant Principal for seven years, working with students in grades 8^th-12^th. The other great news is that Mrs. Michele Dechman, the Assistant Principal, and I are working hard to plan new educational endeavors to impact students academically, socially, and emotionally.

I have been dedicated to the field of education for more than twenty-seven years.  I have worked with students ranging in age from Kindergarten through 12^th grade in a variety of roles. I am thrilled to continue to serve as an educational leader to Bishop Hall Charter School with an outstanding group of administrators, faculty, and staff. We all look forward to working with you as a partner in education to ensure your child's success.

This year is going to be amazing as we continue to provide academic experiences for our students that are rigorous, relevant, and continue to build relationships while making real-world connections.  As your Principal, it is important to me that everyone who steps through our doors-teachers, students, and parents are excited to be here!  This attitude enables us to meet the challenges of academic excellence in a positive, fun, and nurturing environment.  Because the relationships between families and the school are vital to the success of our students, I encourage you to become involved in every way possible.  I look forward to meeting you soon!
