Students in Kelly Dorminey's third-grade class recently participated in a mini-writing festival.  This event was organized by the students.  They worked for several weeks on writing original stories, drawing illustrations, music and dance.  Students helped design the program and invitations to parents, friends, and staff.  Annie Jones, owner of The Bookshelf in Thomasville, was the guest speaker for the event.  Mrs. Jones shared her passion for books and writing.  She reminded students that anyone could be an author and students should continue to practice writing and reading.
