Make Math a Family Activity!

Parents practice addition and subtraction facts nightly with your child.  These math facts are important because they form the building blocks for higher-level math concepts.  For example, adding and subtracting larger numbers, telling time, counting money, measurements, and long multiplication and division are all concepts that are easier for a child to learn once he/she has mastered addition and subtraction facts.  Playing a game that involves adding and subtracting is a fun way for your child to learn their math facts and also provides family time.
