Players Commit to Play in College

Seniors Jonathan Esther, Zachary Davison and James Davis signed to play football in college on February 1, 2012. Esther and Davis will be playing at Dean College in Franklin, MA. The Bulldogs were Northeast Football Conference Champions  in 2007, 2008, 2009, and 2011. They also won the 2011 Valley of the Sun Bowl. The coaching staff at Dean is very excited to be adding Esther and Davis, along with 15 other recruits from Georgia, to their roster. Davison wil be playing at Reinhardt University in Waleska, GA.This is the first year for the Eagles' football program. They will have their first game against Mercer University in the Fall of 2013.

Senior Ryan Parmer signed a letter of intent on March 1, 2012 to play football at Mercer University. Shown with Parmer are head football coach Bill Shaver, athletic director Mike Singletary, offensive line coach Bill Wilhelm and several family members.

 


 

Glass Chosen to Receive NAPA's Blue Collar Player of theYear Award

Senior Peyton Glass has been chosen to receive NAPA's Blue Collar Player of the Year Award. The program is designed to honor high school football players that do not always get the headlines or the glory. The progrm is a joint venture between NAPA and NFL Hall of Fame running back Larry Csonka. Mr. Csonka was the consummate Blue Collar player during his high school, college and professional career and NAPA is prond to partner with him to honor these outstanding Georgia football players.

Peyton and eleven other members of the Blue Collar team will be honored at a banquet in Macon, Georgia on February 15, 2012. All honored players will receive a plaque and be given the opportunity the meet Larry Csonka. This ceremony has drawn media coverage in newspaper, television, radio and internet in recent years.
