Carver Wins State History Award

TCCHS teacher, Teresa Carver, has been named the Outstanding American History Teacher of the Year for the State of Georgia for 2014. This prestigious award, which is sponsored by the Georgia Society Colonial Dames 17th Century, was presented at their Spring Conference  in Marietta, Ga. 

Dianne Cannestra, State Society President, and Mary Grace Whittle, State Historian, made the announcement and presented Mrs. Carver with a certificate and a monetary award. President Cannestra said, “Mrs. Carver is to be highly commended for her outstanding accomplishments in the field of education and for her dedication to her students and the teaching profession. Her colleagues and students, past and present, recommended her for this honor with no reservations.”
