Welcome to my webpage! I am embarking on my third off season with the Yellow Jacket football program.  I am the assistant head coach for football, strength and conditioning coordinator, and assist the offensive line.  I also train the boy's soccer team and girl's softball team during my school day.  Additionally, I help oversee our athletes' nutritional needs on a daily basis so they are prepared to compete day in and day out at a high level.  I have 17 years of coaching/teaching experience and most of my experience has been exclusively in athletic sport performance.

I began my coaching career at Louisiana State University (LSU) as a graduate assistant strength and conditioning coach under Tommy Moffitt, primarily working with football under head coach Nick Saban.  I was also the head strength coach for cheerleading, men's and women's tennis, and men's and women's golf.  While coaching at LSU we had great success with our athletics programs and I also received a Master's Degree in Kinesiology.  After that time, I taught at The University of Southern Mississippi and received a PhD. in Human Performance and Recreation.

After completing my education, I coached and taught at various high schools and middle schools in the metro Atlanta area (Newton High School, Piney Grove Middle School, West Forsyth High School, DeSana Middle School, and Milton High School) until moving to Thomasville in February 2018.  Along with training athletes I have also coached track and field and one season of basketball.  I have coached every position on the offensive and defensive side of the ball and coached at the middle school, 9th grade, Junior Varsity and Varsity levels in my time as a coach.

My personal football experience includes playing football at Valdosta High School for legendary coach Nick Hyder.  I was part of the 1992 State and National Championship team as well as state runner up 1994.  I went on to play collegiate football at Samford University were I was a 44 game starter at offensive left tackle.  I was also a first team all independent conference player and honorable mention all American during that tenure.

I am married to Dr. Lauren Beckman Duplantis, who is also employed for Thomas County Schools.  We have three beautiful children Anna Catherine (11), Billy (8) and Charlie (8).  Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions about my classes.
