Welcome to Mrs. Simmons' Sizzling Life Science website.  I grew up in Thomas County, and I am a Yellow Jacket through and through!  I have been teaching at TCMS since January 1996.  I received my middle grades education degree from Mercer University, and received my Master's and Specialist degree from Valdosta State University.  I am married with two children. Jeremy is a junior at the University of Northwestern Ohio and Katie just graduated from the nursing program at Valdosta State University, and is working in the Mother/Baby Unit at Archbold Hospital.

Congratulations Delta MERIT Science Fair Winners!

Every year Delta MERIT students are required to complete a science fair project.  I am proud to say that Delta MERIT students are very successful at the school and district level of competition. I can't wait to see what this year's students have to offer! I would love to see our number of winners increase. Are you up for the challenge? Delta Rocks!

Even though it was still an unusual year with science fair, Delta still dominated! This past year several Delta students placed at the school wide science fair held in December, including Andrew Robertson who placed 2nd overall. Delta did very well, also, at Region Science Fair at ABAC. All students placed, and Clay Johnson won 1st Place Overall in the Junior Division and qualified for the Georgia Science Engineering Fair with UGA.               Way to go, Delta!
