The Honors Georgia History students at Thomas County Middle School are creating a project for our school wide National History Day competition. To assist students with completing this project and to reinforce standards being taught in Georgia History, Mrs. Garcia’s 8th grade students visited the Thomas County Museum of History, the Jack Hadley Black History Museum, the library at Thomas University, and the Thomas County Public Library on Wednesday, November 12. At the museums, students worked on research and project development as well as exhibit and primary source analysis. We would like to thank Ms. Amelia Gallo and the staff at the Thomas County Museum of History and Mr. Jack Hadley and the staff at the Black History Museum for planning such fun and educational experiences for our students!
