Students Earn Perfect Scores

Each January, eighth graders across the state of Georgia are required to take the Grade Eight Writing Assessment, a writing test which measures their ability to complete the writing process on a topic they have never seen during a specified time limit. Thomas County Middle School Students Marion Rose Young, Faythe Choate, Ansley Alligood, and Riley Jones scored a perfect score of 350 on this year’s Grade Eight Writing Assessment. When asked how she felt about earning a perfect score on the writing test, Faythe Choate stated, “It is very rewarding to know that you have a skill that will benefit you throughout the rest of your life.”
