Workforce Ready

This pathway supports students as they acquire employability skills that ease their transition to the workforce. Specific skills within the first course provide additional opportunities for students to sharpen academic and employability skills, financial literacy, multiple forms of communication strategies, mastery of technology and specific-related tools, workplace safety, and self-advocacy approaches. In the second course students expand employability skills that ease their transition to the workforce. These essential skills and concepts will be taught utilizing individualized plans to meet the academic and workplace skill-needs of students. Students will learn about the world of work by achieving academic challenges, participating in project-based learning activities, and participating in workplace enrichment experiences. In the third course students will have heavy exposure to workplace and community experiences, complete and present career portfolios, complete a community/school service project, hone leadership skills, and earn business and industry recognized credentials.
