Students are also eligible to receive an academic letter jackets or an academic patch for a letter jackets that they have earned in other areas. In order to qualify, students must be up-to date on community service requirements and must meet 3 of the 6 following conditions:

• Made a 3 or better on an AP examination.
• Received a 1st place in an individual or team academic competition.
• Received a perfect score on a section of a standardized test such as EOC, ACT, or SAT.
• Participated on at least two academic teams or at two academic competitions.
• Made 1200 or higher on one administration of the SAT (Zell Miller requirement).
• Made a 28 or higher composite score on one administration of the ACT (Zell Miller requirement).

There is no cost to the student for the academic patch; however the cost of the letter jacket is the responsibility of the student.
