Welcome!  I am a ninth-grade Literature and Composition teacher at Thomas County Central High School.  Born and raised in South Georgia, I graduated from Georgia Southern University with an emphasis in Secondary English Education and minored in Writing.  I taught 15 years in Florida, including Apalachicola and the Tampa Bay area.  

In the classroom, I challenge students to effectively problem solve, connect with concepts, and use a higher level of critical thinking. My goal is provide an encouraging, diverse, and positive learning environment that integrates these skills with the students’ world and interests. As these skills develop in students, I hope that they use them to improve their worlds.
