The Thomas County Middle School Among Us Lego League Team will compete on Friday, January 29, 2021, at the Georgia FIRST® LEGO® League Regional Tournament through Georgia Institute of Technology.

The theme this year is RePLAY, where LEGO League teams have to address a problem by motivating people in their community to get active. The Among Us group chose to address the lack of exercise in the general public by creating a fun app that gets players up and moving. These students proposed a design that would allow players to earn in-game currency by completing different types of exercises. The in-game currency would allow users the option to buy “skins” for their character, unlock different features, and care for a pet of their choice. Students explored different ways of implementing their solution throughout the season.
