Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year! My name is Carly Fox. I received my Bachelor's degree in Middle Grades Math and Science Education with a Special Education certificate from the University of Georgia in May of 2016. I recently added a Master's in Special Education from Georgia Southwestern State University in 2020 and a Specialist in Teacher Leadership in 2021.

I, along with Mrs. Angela Witcher, Mrs. Tammie Melear, and Mrs. Christina Wilson will be your teachers for Reading, Math, or other Interventions such as Behavior Interventions for grades 5-8. Parents, plan to meet by phone or in person at least once during the school year to discuss your child's progress in the program. This is the same program that your child may have been involved in formerly called RTI, which is now MTSS-Multi-Tiered System of Supports. 

What we do:

In our classes, we will work on missing skills your child may have or grade level topics to enhance their performance in Math and ELA and when necessary, their executive functioning skills such as homework planner or being more organized as well as social skills (if needed). They will come to our classes during their "reading" class on their schedule, which may be listed as "Connections or Interventions." It will not interfere with their exploratory schedule so your child will still get two exploratories each nine weeks.
