About me: I was born and raised in Thomas County and graduated from Brookwood School. I enjoy riding horses, being outside, and cooking. My passion for teaching started in high school when had the opportunity to tutor middle school students. I followed my dream and graduated from Valdosta State University in 2016 with a degree in Middle Grades Education. Over the summer I graduated with my Maters in Curriculum and Instruction. I plan to pursue my Specialist Degree this Fall.
Professional: I completed my student teaching in 7th grade at Thomas County Middle School in 2016, soon after graduation I was hired on as the 5th Grade Math and Science Resource teacher for the 2017-2018 school year. During my time at Thomas County Middle School I have worked in 7th grade as an inclusion teacher and resource science teacher. Most recently I taught resource math and science 5th-8th grade online for the 2020-2021 school year. I am thrilled to use my knowledge from my past teaching experiences and the new skills learned while obtaining my masters degree to help students succeed by bridging the gaps between confusion and understanding.

I use GoogleSites as a main way to upload and share my content. There is no long in required, it is easy to navigate and is up to date. Materials on the website include: PowerPoints, notes, flashcards, games, contact forms, special education resources and FAQ.
