Kids Heart Challenge

KHC23

The annual Kids Heart Challenge, sponsored by the American Heart Association, was held recently at Cross Creek Elementary. Many of our students participated in this fun and challenging way to learn how to take care of their hearts and to help others by raising money for the American Heart Association. Students learned of other children who were born with heart issues that prohibit them from being able to participate in different activities.

This year, $4,467 was raised by students for this cause. Our top fundraiser was Maci Claire Elkins. Landen Powers, Max Fletcher, and Asher Parker rounded out the top four fundraisers. Students who raised $100 earned one pie to throw in the face of one of the coaches. Students who raised $200 were able to throw two pies, and for raising $300 or more, students were able to earn three pies. We appreciate all of the community support in donating to this worthy cause.
