My passion for education has given me the opportunity to teach for 29 years. Twenty-six of those years have been at Garrison-Pilcher as a 1st grade teacher.
Every child has the potential to bring something unique and special to the world. I try every day to help my students develop their potential by instilling in them, they are all unique individuals.
My classroom is made up of a community of diverse learners from many backgrounds, abilities and learning styles. My goal is to improve my students’ achievement through high quality instruction and support services that will meet their needs. This requires me to be flexible, adapt to the changing role of teachers and the changing patterns that influenced how the content is delivered to my students.
Another goal, of mine is changing the minds of my students, so that I can develop youths that will accept responsibility for their education. When students take ownership in their education, they are able to blossom as a successful garden. When the above tasks are demonstrate effectively, I know I have developed critical thinkers.
