First graders in Cyndi Tarin’s class at Garrison-Pilcher made windsocks as a culminating activity of a two week unit that focused on weather, seasons, and tools used to measure weather. Students visited one of many outdoor learning areas at Garrison-Pilcher to use the windsocks to determine the direction that the wind was blowing.
