On Wednesday, August 21, 2013 TCCHS held the first blood drive of the school year. 117 students and teachers participated and the blood bank was able to secure 88 units of blood. Health Occupations instructor Cindy Griner proudly stated, "at the end of the year last year our contact person (at the blood bank) told me that our students were the best behaved student body that they deal with." The next blood drive will be on December 3, 2013. Students 16 years of age may donate with written parental consent. Students over the age of 16 must provide a picture ID to donate. All donors must weigh at least 110 pounds and complete a medical history the day of the drive.
