On Tuesday, October 1 the TCCHS Governor's Honors Program (GHP) nominees were recognized at a reception held in their honor. Dr. Jim Rehberg gave a brief overview of what GHP desires to accomplish and congratulated the students for being nominated as outstanding students in their specific areas. Past GHP participants, Tessa McCorkle, Sunnie Wynn, and Nikki Young, spoke to this year's nominees about their experiences at GHP's summer program earlier this year. Each nominee will travel to Atlanta for an interview with a GHP committee. If selected, students will attend a summer program in 2014 and focus on a major and minor area.
