Governor's Commission on Teen Driving Application

The Governor’s Office of Highway Safety is proud to announce the formation of the Governor’s Commission on Teen Driving. Georgia drivers between 15 and 19 years of age are encouraged to apply for this prestigious and important opportunity.

The Governor’s Commission on Teen Driving will include 15-20 teen drivers selected from applications received by the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety.  The teens selected will assist Governor Nathan Deal in developing a statewide strategy, using non-traditional methods, to educate teen drivers on the risks and consequences of texting and driving, distracted driving, and alcohol impaired driving, with the ultimate goal of reducing teen crashes, injuries and fatalities on Georgia highways.

Applicants must agree to the Terms and Conditions, and be willing to serve a minimum one year term.

Teen drivers can apply online by clicking the following link: Teen Driving Commission

Please review the Governor’s Commission on Teen Driving Terms and Conditions before submitting the application.

All applications must be submitted online by Thursday, September 20, 2012.

Sincerely,

Harris Blackwood
Director
