VESPA Staff Donates to Treehouse Advocacy Center

(L-R): Adam Choice, Lindsay Thompson, Deanna Garcia, JSL Representative, Alex Bergozza, Peyton Singletary and Laura Parkerson

Thomas County Central’s yearbook staff and the students of Thomas County Central in collaboration with the Junior Service League collected over 500 children’s books for the Treehouse Advocacy Center.  The books will be used to replenish the current library at the Treehouse.  The students are currently collecting new or lightly used jackets for the coat closet at the food bank.  Students will be participating in “The Coats for Cash” project in the month of October.  Nick Haskins, who runs the school store, will give a dollar of school store credit in exchange for every coat donated by the students.  For more information, contact Laura Parkerson at lparkerson@thomas.k12.ga.us ..
