About Me Personally:

I am married to Jessica Beck and mixed together we have six kiddos, three mine, three hers, and two dogs. I love traveling, Star Trek, Dr. Who, time travel books/movies, and anything that'll make me laugh.  

About Me Professionally:

I have taught 5th grade for most of my career, but have also had the opportunity to teach 1st, 4th, and 6th-8th grade students.  I previously worked as an Instructional Technology Specialist, serving many of the elementary schools and the middle school in Colquitt County.  The 2023-2024 will be my fifth year in Thomas County and my third year as the 7th grade MERIT ELA teacher.  I am currently taking classes at Georgia Southern University for a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction.

About the Year Ahead:

I look forward to working with you this year as we read, write, journal, and learn how to better use the English language. My goal this year is to provide a fun and challenging classroom environment, and the only way for that to happen is if you and I bring our very best to class each and every day.  I’m glad you’re part of Merit’s Delta team and can’t wait to get the year started!
