Middle School Yearbook Course (First Half 8th Grade Exploratory/Art)

The Middle School Yearbook staff will be responsible for helping to capture and create the Thomas County Upper/Elementary School yearbook. Students will take photos at school events and work with parents and other students to gather photos that accurately capture notable moments throughout the year. Students interested in being on yearbook staff should have a good attitude, strong work ethic, be comfortable on the computer, and be able to commit to working on the yearbook throughout the entire school year. Any upcoming 8th grader can apply for yearbook in April of their 7th grade year.

Students will learn valuable skills during this course:

• Plan, organize, create, and distribute the school yearbook
• Utilize computer software to carefully edit written work
• Meet print deadlines.
• Advertise and sell the school yearbook.
