Hello, my name is Claudia Upton and this will be my 8th year teaching Georgia History at Thomas County Middle School. I graduated from Thomas County Central high school, and received a Bachelors Degree from Excelsior College in Albany, New York. I am currently pursuing a Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Georgia Southern University. I have high expectations for all of my students, and my goal is for them to learn how to be a responsible citizen in the community in which they live. This year, they will learn Georgia's early history, state government, and how Georgia was both affected and the impact Georgia had on the rest of the U.S. during important events in U.S. history.
