1st Period Engineering (Robotics)

In Robotics students join the TCCHS Cyberstingers robotics teams and compete in the FIRST Tech Challenge competition.

Students design, program, build, and document their experiences during the fall and winter. Beginning in the late fall, students compete in region and district robotics competition. Qualified teams proceed to the Georgia FTC State Championship in February.

You can learn more about the FIRST Tech Challenge on the FIRSTInspires.org website.

Mr. Bellamy recommends that students enroll in the Introduction to Engineering Design class during the 9th or 10th-grade year and complete the design class. Students continue the engineering path by enrolling in subsequent classes that use the robotics challenge. Students in robotics learn programming skills, manufacturing processes, advanced design, and other engineering-related abilities.
