Tanisha Barnhart, first grade teacher at Garrison Pilcher Elementary, was recently awarded a classroom grant from Envision Credit Union. Barnhart said she initially thought of applying for the grant while working on a project for her leadership degree. Barnhart plans to use the grant funds for STEM and mathematics projects within her classroom and to increase awareness to all of her students about opportunities provided through engineering and mathematics.
