Congratulations to Taylor Collins the 1st Place state winner in the 12th Grade Division for “Plains, Peanuts & a President” annual postcard contest held in Plains, Georgia. This year’s theme was “Peanuts: Our World in a Nutshell.” Also congratulations to Jennah Maswasdeh who placed 2nd in 10th grade division and Kendra Anderson who placed 3rd for 9th grade division. The students were among more than 13,000 statewide entries this year for grades K-12. There were three winners for each grade. The students were honored at the “Peanut Festival” in Plains, Georgia town parade along with other the other state level winners on Saturday, September 28. Students who attended the presentation met former President Jimmy Carter, his wife Roslyn, and received an autographed copy of one of his books as well as a certificate.
