Leadership, Education, and Training (LET) 1 is the first course in the 4-course series. All first time Cadets must complete each course sequentially.

This course covers the basic knowledge all Cadets must possess to become effective leaders and staff officers in the battalion. The course name for LET 1 is The Emerging Leader. Focus areas include JROTC Foundations, Personal Growth and Behaviors, Team Building, Decision Making, Health and Fitness, and Service Learning.

All Cadets will participate in weekly physical fitness that incorporates the standard Army PT program as well as unique and challenging team building events. 

Cadets are expected to demonstrate loyalty, duty, respect, selfless service, honesty, integrity, and personal courage.
