On Friday, November 11, students at Thomas County Middle School hosted special Veterans Day assemblies to recognize and celebrate veterans in our community.  During the programs, The Thomas County Sherriff’s Department honored veterans with a presentation of the colors.  After reciting the pledge, attendees at the assembly were treated with a special presentation from our very own veteran, Dr. Larry Green.  

Dr. Green honored servicemen by having members of the audience and students stand to honor members from each branch of the military. The band performed "Tears of Arizona", and then joined the chorus in performing “My America” at both assemblies. 

Students at the school created a special Wall of Honor in the front lobby of the school to honor the veterans in their lives.  TCUE principal Mr. Jamie Thompson recognized the importance of celebrating Veterans Day.
