Thomas County Middle School's LEGO League team, Animal Avengers, won the overall project award at the Albany Tech Regional Competition. They placed 5th for Robot performance. This qualified them for Super Regionals at Columbus State University. The team's project was the design of a turtle barricade for sea turtle nest to be placed at St. George Island Florida. They constructed a prototype and presented it to the Thomas University Science department. They wrote and performed a skit in order to present their project for competition.  They were invited to present their project at the January meeting of the Kiwanis Club! Team coaches are Kim Simmons and Dana Studdard.
