Florida Museum of Natural History Field Trip

TC Logo

Sixth grade MERIT students recently traveled to the Florida Museum of Natural History. Acting as curators, students worked in small groups to determine the most beneficial artifact in each exhibit. Using historical information from the past 12,000 years, all academic content areas had lessons enhanced by the trip. Highlights include listening to FDR address Congress on an authentic radio, steering a steamboat and seeing the canoe recently unearthed by Hurricane Irma.
