FFA Members Attend Discovery Conference

Members of the Thomas County Middle School FFA chapter attended the Georgia FFA Association’s Discovery Conference on January 26-27, 2018, at the Georgia FFA-FCCLA Camp in Covington. The Discovery Conference is for middle school students and allows them to meet other members and get excited about the opportunities that FFA has to offer.

At the conference, FFA members were challenged to expand their comfort zones, set goals, and realize the importance of agriculture in today’s world. The conference theme this year was, “Be Incredible: Unlocking Your Superpowers!” Members engaged in a personality test to determine their strengths and weaknesses, took part in an FFA quiz competition, and met with nearly 400 members from across the state of Georgia.

Members attending the conference (pictured left to right) included: Samantha Bustle, Samantha Johnson, Katie Sylvain, and Bryan Williams.
