February Character Education Students Recognized for being Compassionate

The State of Georgia has a Character Education program. In compliance with the state mandate, the administration and faculty of Thomas County Middle School have instituted a Character Education program. As part of this program, each team selects one student that has best displayed the Character Education quality of the month. The character quality for the month of February was COMPASSIONATE. These students were selected by their teachers as showing compassion. Mrs. Gilligan, staff member in charge of the trip, said, "These students were a joy to take to lunch. One young man even took care of trash for an elderly man who was dining at the restaurant."
