Seven Thomas County Middle School students recently placed in the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) Junior American Citizens National Competition. Out of the fourteen first place state winners from Thomas County Middle School, ten students moved on to win first place in the Southeast US Competition, and seven of those entrants placed at the National level. The following students placed at the DAR National Competition:
5th Grade, Group 1 for Banner: Walker Cobb, Charlie Emmett, and Trip Wilson - 1st Place
5th Grade, Group 2 for Banner: Hannah Bernard, Bridgett Cook, and Avery Turnbull - 3rd Place
6th Grade, Group 1 for Poster: Libby Stewart - 3rd Place
