TCMS students won many awards in The Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) Junior American Citizens annual competition. There were twenty-six winners from Thomas County Middle School for the Thomasville chapter. Eleven of those winners took first place and will advance to state competition in January. This year’s theme was “The 50th Anniversary of the Lunar Landing—America’s Great Move Forward in Exploration and Technology.” Students were able to compete in the following categories: poster, stamp design, photo essay, banner, poem, short story, or community service.
