Envision Credit Union Grant Awarded

Envision Credit Union recently awarded Kendra Reeves, fifth-grade teacher at Thomas County Middle School, with a $500 classroom grant.  Reeves applied for the grant in August and was notified on January 9th of the decision to name her proposal as the grant winner for Spring 2019.

Reeves' proposal was for the purchase of the premium version of the program, Splash Math, to cover all 79 of her math students.  Students currently have access to the free version, but the premium version would allow students to access the program as often as they would like from home or school.  Splash Math is aligned to the Georgia Standards of Excellence, so students can work on all standards, striving towards mastery of each.  Reeves stated that "the premium version of the program would allow students to download the app and access the program offline.  For our students that need the extra help in math and have a device but do not have internet access at home, this will provide unlimited access and will help improve their skills tremendously."
