Thomas County Middle School’s Astro Avengers recently secured a spot to state during Super Regionals held in Warner Robins. The TCMS team, led by Kim Simmons and Samantha Sturrup, beat 36 others for their first place title of the Champion's Award. This title allowed the team to travel to Athens for state competition on the first of February.

This year, the LEGO challenge was to explore living and traveling in space and solve problems that may arise during that endeavor. The team is made up of sixth through eighth-grade students who exemplified the core values of First Lego.
